And The Winner Is … SWEDEN!

Sweden has won the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest which took place last night in Baku, Ajerbaijan. The song called ‘Euphoria’ and sung by the artist Loreen, came out top in the contest by winning with a whopping 372 points! This¬†means that the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Sweden.

We noted that not very many of the contestants sang in their own language (they sang mostly in English) although we would like to praise Romania’s entry (called ‘Zaleilah’ by Mandinga) for appearing to sing in English, Romanian, Spanish and Portuguese!

The UK’s entry called ‘Love Will Set You Free’ and sung by Engelbert Humperdinck, nearly came last with only 12 points.
