Over
40 languages are used by you at work, but many of the 'regional'
or dialect languages (such as Flemish, Foochow and Fanti) are not
used as extensively in the office. One of you even said that you
used Brandspeak at work ... very funny! But the serious point behind
this is to think about the jargon and terminology that you use on
a day-to-day basis at work with your colleagues, and even more importantly,
with your customers ... especially when they speak a different language
to you and so are working in a 'foreign' language.
The top 5 languages
spoken at work by our respondents are:
1. English
2.
Other
3.
French
4.
German
5.
Spanish
Other
refers to languages outside our
top 10 languages of English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Arabic,
Chinese, Hindi, Japanese and Russian.
