Montreal Film Festival 2011

The Montreal Film Festival in Canada takes place between 18th August and 28th August 2011.

Over 400 films from 80 countries will be shown at the 2011 Montreal World Film Festival. There are 8 sections to this festival. The main competition is the World Competition which includes world premieres from various countries. The focus on World Cinema program focuses on World Cinema showing films from the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania.

Awards are also given for feature films in the World Competition such as for Best Director, Best Actor/Actress and Best Artistic Contribution. French actress Catherine Deneuve will also be honoured at this year’s event.
